IP Know-how for Early-stage Innovators
Your research-based inventions and innovations are essentially intellectual property, which could be transfered into science-based startups! Founding a startup bears many opportunities, but also risks: Concerning your product, team and prospective company. In this module you will learn more about Intellectual Property and the legal status, e.g., how to see if my idea is really original? - how to legally found a company from an innovative idea? For this special topic we have invited an expert that will help you get an overview on legal matters: Carl Clarenbach, Dipl.-Ing. LL.M. and European Patent Attorney, will join us as a special guest. This workshop will take place at ARENA2036, please contact us if you would like to join online.
Goals:
- Gain knowledge on the basics of IP law and IP protection (with practice)
- Gain knowledge on legal forms for spin-outs
- Learn more about what to consider when founding a business
- Experiece guided practice and exchange with experts, including a Q&A session
For your participation in this workshop you will receive 0.25 LP via the Graduate Academy (GRADUS) after the end of the workshop series RISE IV.
