Due to the current situation, it is no longer possible to hold our popular lecture series A Passion for Space Travel with an audience in attendance. To satisfy your appetite for current information about space travel, we have decided to continue the lecture series in digital form:

The lectures with be transmitted as a series of live events via the new YouTube channel of the Institute of Space Systems (IRS) and the German Sofia Institute (DSI). Following the lecture, viewers will have the opportunity to talk to the lecturer and ask questions. After the lecture, the live stream will be uploaded to our channel so that the those who were unable to watch the lecture live, can view it at a later date.

The series will begin with a highlight, a live guided tour through the stratospheric observatory SOFIA, including interviews with experts and the chance to ask questions. The tour will take place on Wednesday January 27, confirmation of this and the exact schedule will be announced at the beginning of next week.

You do not need to register for this event.

About the lecture series: A Passion for Space Travel goes digital.
The plan is to stream one lecture per month on a fixed date: always on the third Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. The lectures will be as exciting as ever.  We are planning lectures about den Rover machines, cosmic dust research and about satellite missions in low earth orbits.
