The lecture series "AI for engineers" presents methods of AI to solve current problems in science and economy in an innovative way by using AI. The lecture series presents the different perspectives of ten lecturers on the field.
On Wednesday, Gen. 10, 2024 at 3:45 p.m.,Layal Ali, High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS), will speak on the topic of "Classification and Clustering".
Clustering is an important unsupervised machine learning technology for sorting data into groups based on similar data point characteristics. This technique can be used in various areas of engineering, including technical design and process planning. Classification methods, on the other hand, are supervised machine learning algorithms that have proven their efficiency in various fields for product categorization or classifying technical data. This lecture seeks to communicate basic knowledge of both technologies. In addition, the main algorithms and tools of clustering and classification will also be explained, using practical examples to show how these methods can be used efficiently in practice.
New lecture series "AI for engineers" in the framework of the project IKILeUS (HLRS / IHR). Valid as interdisciplinary key qualification FüSQ and in the thematic field module T9 Engineering Sciences but also for interested non-specialists.
