Announcing Module 6 of the RISE V Workshop Series for PhDs and Postdocs

When innovating in the research and science sector, you will come across a variety of important questions: How can I protect my intellectual property? What legal rights and obligations must I be aware of as an employee? What financial support options are available? The answer often varies depending on the situation. To delve into these topics, we've invited legal experts and representatives from TRACES who will help you navigate these complex considerations.

Workshop Focus:

  • Understanding the of intellectual property in science-based startups
  • Exploring the opportunities and risks associated with founding a startup
  • Gaining insights into the legal status and procedures for establishing a business based on innovative ideas

Objectives:

  • Acquire knowledge of IP law fundamentals and protection strategies through practical exercises
  • Learn about the legal structures for spin-offs
  • Understand key considerations for founding a company
  • Engage in guided practice and discussions with experts, including a Q&A session

This workshop is an integral part of the RISE series - a joint initiative by Elements4Founding, supported by the Vector Foundation, and QCLUB, funded by the BMBF as part of the QSENS cluster for future, at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI). We warmly invite PhD students and Postdocs from all disciplines to participate. For inquiries, please contact our project team at e4f@eni.uni-stuttgart.de.
