On Saturday, July 26, Stuttgart will once again be colorful and loud: Stuttgart Pride, also known as Christopher Street Day (CSD), will be taking place under the motto "Never be quiet again! Loud for freedom, strong for diversity".

The University of Stuttgart is taking part in the big CSD demonstration for the second time. Over 300 participants from the university will take part as a joint group in the colorful parade, which will march from Feuersee to Schlossplatz. In the run-up to the event, rainbow flags were hoisted on the university's city center campus as a visible sign of solidarity with the queer community.

"I am delighted that the University of Stuttgart is once again taking part in Christopher Street Day in Stuttgart," said Prof. Judith Tonhauser, Vice Rector for Early Career Researchers and Diversity.

"It is clear to me that I stand in solidarity with the queer community – today, on CSD, and on every other day of the year. This commitment to tolerance and openness also applies to the entire University of Stuttgart."

Chancellor Anna Steiger, Vice-Rector Prof. Judith Tonhauser and Rector Prof. Peter Middendorf raise a rainbow flag of the University of Stuttgart together.

The march is one of the highlights of the CSD Culture Weeks, which continue until July 27. The CSD rally on Schlossplatz and the CSD Hocketse, the colorful street festival on Marktplatz and Schillerplatz on July 26 and 27, where the University will also be represented with a stand, will conclude the event.
