The University of Stuttgart campus is becoming more colorful, sustainable and vibrant: Around 80 ideas were submitted by students and employees for the “Glow up our Campus” competition. A total of 18 projects will now receive funding, supporting not only expanded outdoor seating but also sporting and cultural activities. The focus is on the university community actively shaping its campus - through hands-on projects where students learn by doing.
An event with thrilling pitches
Rector Peter Middendorf, who announced the decision at Café Faust as part of the jury, says: “We are thrilled that we received so many creative ideas. The pitch event had an incredible atmosphere, and I’m delighted to be shaping the future of our campus alongside dedicated colleagues and students. The projects that will now receive funding will make studying and working at the University of Stuttgart even more fun in the future.”
Chancellor Anna Steiger adds: “The projects are a great mix of one-off highlights such as the music festival and sustainable improvements that enhance both of the university's campuses.”
