On Wednesday 9 October, we would like to welcome you to join our Day of Good Health 2019. A colorful program awaits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stadtmitte Campus, Keplerstraße 17.

Employees are welcome to attend for up to three hours during work time, if agreed by your boss (and as long as there are no conflicts of interest).

We would like to give you the opportunity to put your health first the whole day long. The event will be offering a wealth of information on a range of topics (vaccination advice, hygiene, maintaining a healthy digestion), as well as activities where you can learn about different kinds of sports and relaxation techniques. The Health Marketplace also offers advice, consultation and screening opportunities (stamina check, body fat measurement, and much more).

Please be aware that some of the events on offer this year are likely to be very popular and require you to register in advance. Information about how to register can be found in the program.

If you are interested in receiving a personal vaccine consultation, please bring your yellow vaccination card with you!

This event will be in German.

Please be aware of the information about data protection regulations when taking photos and registering for Day of Health events.

You can register for these by telephone! You can phone the Health Management Department to select a time for your individual screening one week before the Day of Health (15-minute appointments). This gives all interested parties plenty of time to plan their appointment. For organizational reasons, it is only possible to reserve screening appointments by telephone and at the following times:

Monday, 30 September 2019, 9 a.m. – 11a.m.
Wednesday, 2 October 2019, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 15-minute appointments – body fat measurement (AOK)

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 15-minute appointments – Balance Check, measuring heart rate variability (Barmer GEK)
Heartrate variability, i.e. fluctuations in heartrate during and due to breathing movements provides information about internal regulation and regeneration abilities. Based on a graphic diagram of your heart rate, we will use an ear clip to determine your individual stress level and regulation abilities and compare these with the relevant age group.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 15-minute appointments – Back check, back muscle measurement (Techniker Krankenkasse)
This test measures the strength of your stomach and back muscles. Your back and stomach muscles will also be compared in terms of muscle strength. You will then receive advice and individual training suggestions.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 15-minute appointments – stamina check, measuring stamina (Techniker Krankenkasse)
This test determines your stamina in just a few minutes, using a suitable cardio training device (cross-trainer or cycle ergometer). After the test, you will receive an evaluation of your score and a personal consultation.

12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Details to follow

13:00 p.m. - 13:30 p.m. – Pilates
Pilates focuses on centering energy at the body’s core, the so-called powerhouse. The aim is to create a balanced muscle system from inside to out by ensuring a stable core. This makes movement sequences more economical.

1:45 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. – Übungskurs für die Wirbelsäule und den Rücken
This course focuses on the spine and back and how they work together in their own dynamic and ability to maintain an upright position. Energetic movement can help to ease blockages in the body, enabling improved muscle tension and tone to slowly develop.

2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. – Ausgleichsgymnastik
Balance gymnastics helps to relieve everyday aches and pains, which are often caused by certain muscle weaknesses throughout the body. This course offers alternatives to compensate for the time we spend sitting or doing one-sided movements.

In this “classic” form of meditation you will be able to explore your breathing and practice how to bring your focus back to “here and now” and thus be more present in the moment.

2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. – Gehmeditation
Mindfulness on the move, perfect for all those who want to collect their thoughts in a more active way. With the help of slow movements, you can reconnect with yourself step by step.
