Public transport
The public transportation network in the Stuttgart area is operated by the Stuttgart Transport Association (VVS), Stuttgart Tramways AG (SSB), and Deutsche Bahn (DB). Because the public transportation system is highly developed, you won’t need a car. It's better to use the buses and trains.

Cycling
- Charging points

On Campus Vaihingen, in front of Pfaffenwaldring 10, there is a solar-powered charging station for e-bikes that can accommodate up to four bikes. Their owners can park them, lock them, and charge them using their own power adapter plugged into an outlet.
- Repairs

There are three bike repair stations on the Vaihingen campus. At these locations, students and university staff can repair and maintain their bicycles around the clock. All locations are listed on UniMap.

In addition, there are bicycle repair workshops on both Campus City Center Campus and Campus Vaihingen.

A group of students has made the campus more sustainable by making their homemade cargo bike trailer available through Lastenrad Stuttgart e.V.
Pedelecs
Whether for your commute or seminar field trips: 30 e-bikes in two models, each available in two sizes, are available for use free of charge. The e-bikes were purchased as part of the MobiLab project with financial support from the state.
Carpooling
The “Stuttgart fährt mit” app makes it easy and flexible to form carpool groups. It is a cross-organizational carpooling platform provided by the University of Stuttgart for its employees and students. Another benefit: Carpoolers organized through the platform can park for free at Campus Vaihingen and at the Stadtmitte parking lots.
Parking
Parking on the University of Stuttgart campus is managed by the Baden-Württemberg Parking Authority (PBW) and is subject to a fee. Discounted rates apply to employees and students. You can use this service by registering with your university email address on the PBW customer portal. There, you can purchase long-term parking permits and sign up for discounted daily parking. For employees, the rates for state employees apply at all parking facilities managed by PBW. Parking fees vary depending on the university location and, on Campus City Center, depending on the parking lot. Anyone who joins a carpool through the “Stuttgart fährt mit” app can park for free on Campus Vaihingen and in the parking lot on Keplerstraße at Campus Stadtmitte.
For employees with severe disabilities, PBW provides parking spaces that cannot be reserved online. People with severe disabilities can contact the PBW directly by email.
