Cities are places of diversity. This diversity is one of the keys to finding a creative way to counter the great challenges facing humanity. Cities have never been more heterogeneous and multicultural in terms of their inhabitants, and democracy and equality have never been better enshrined in law. For us, this combination is the key to meeting global and local challenges in a positive and creative way. As a public and inclusive building, "Täglich" is simply suggesting how this might be done. Through its open use and spatial offerings, it provides a place to create and share things, values, and knowledge through one's own actions. Spatially as well as socially, it encourages empowerment, interaction, and participation in the shaping of an urban society - a place of participation and lived democracy in everyday urban life and at the same time a space of opportunity and critical urban infrastructure.

The findings and knowledge gathered about the "Täglich" will be made available to the public in Stuttgart's Stadtpalais. The participatory and performative concept enables direct participation in ongoing research. A wide variety of event formats focusing on the various research topics invite you to get involved and participate in shaping and discussing these.

The "Täglich" project, which will be on display at the Stadtpalais - Museum for Stuttgart from September 27 to October 11, 2022, is based on research by the Department of Urban Planning and Design. A book about the project has been published by M BOOKS in German and English.
